Robusta Coffee Beans
Robusta coffee beans are considered a lower grade type of coffee. The first time it was discovered was in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This coffee is blended with lower quality beans for a much lower price. Though Robusta coffee beans are less expensive, their robust flavor can add depth to your brew. Coffee is tasty for this reason, not only because of its caffeine content, but also because of its astringent flavorings.
Arabica Coffee Beans
Arabica coffee, though it is more expensive when compared to other types like Robusta or Liberica, still make up for about 60% of the world’s total coffee production.This type of bean is considered a higher quality than Robusta, due to the fact that it can be used in its whole form or serve as Robusta beans in blends. As arabica coffee beans have a very delicate flavor, they are commonly added to blends of other coffees to provide a more refined taste. It also comes in various flavours, depending on where it’s grown. Arabica may be used for breakfast blends in America’s Central and Southern part, but its aroma and body are considered moderate. One of the main reasons this coffee is considered a gourmet coffee and not simply regular bean is because it has a great flavor and offers half the caffeine of Robusta.
Kona Coffee Beans
Kona coffee may seem to be less popular in the world of commercial beverages, but it’s still pretty expensive and doesn’t get discounted like Arabica beans do. This high-quality coffee is grown in Hawaii and has a rich, full-bodied flavor with an incredibly strong aroma. For its excellent aroma and its preference among most people, this coffee is rarely blended with other drink flavorings.
Coffee flavor can vary depending on the environment in which it is grown. For this reason, coffee beans are typically named by their geographic origin. Coffee is not really a bean. In fact, it is just a seed from a coffee berry. However, it looks like a bean, so the name “coffee bean” was coined.
